Welcome to Diary of an Introverted Author!

2025 was tough... House issues, health issues (for me and my dog), growing pains… all the things… however, I am still here, and I am still so very grateful. As we start a new year, some of my junk from 2025 is tagging along, nudging me to pay attention to my needs as well as the world around me. This has pushed me to make changes.

*More info to come, however, I am starting another page on my Substack (The Quiet Retreat) that honors the part of me that seeks quiet change… stability and calm. It will contain reflective posts, journal prompts, and is a slightly more personal platform to explore, and live life with intention and it is a safe space for others who need it. I will send out another post with more info and if you would like to join, please do. I am not pushing it out to everyone, but all are welcome to tag along. Some of you have been on this journey with me from the beginning so I hope you join!

Nothing changes here!

As a matter of fact, today I will start the next weekly chapter release. There was a bit of an issue with which book I share. With a tie between “Mistletoe” and “Yep, I’m that Olivia”, I am going to share both, starting with Mistletoe.

Since they are novellas, each will take about a month (maybe slightly longer to post They are very close to complete, however, I am still adding details before I give them a professionally editor. As always, I am open to feedback.

Again, I will release chapters every Saturday. Starting today!

I recently read Dread Nation and Deathless Divide (A series by, Justina Ireland). At times a difficult read, but I loved them both. They reminded me what good books do… They transport you to another world! I am currently reading (listening to) The Housemaid (By Freida McFadden) Twists and turns!! I love Freida McFadden books!
