I reside in the beautiful state of North Carolina. As an author, I enjoy writing about real-life issues… with a twist. I am an advocate for trauma survivors and actively supports mental health awareness. Through my writing, I hope to inspire readers, empowering them to explore their deepest emotions and embrace the potential that lies within them.
I write in a couple of different genres, including books for YA readers, which are published under a pen name (J. Love... or J. Love & Bobbie Lou).
Some common themes you will find in my books are found family, survival, justice, healing, hope, faith, love, redemption, etc. At times my books tackle intense subject matter, but they remain clean, in terms of language and content, focusing on emotional depth and storytelling rather than explicit scenes.
I am excited to continue my writing journey, and I am glad you're here to keep me company.

They help us understand each other and remind us that we’re connected… through laughter, love, and the shared experience of being human.

I wrote a YA emotional crime story (for the first time), and I enjoyed it. But what started as an enjoyable creative experience turned into a deep conversation with myself. As a writer, it is in my nature to include diversity in my writing, so when I wrote something that veered away from that, it concerned me. I considered the feelings of others, while trying to stay true to who I am, which left me with a lot to sift through.
Including diversity in my stories comes naturally, as my...
